É com grande satisfação que anunciamos a premiação recebida pelo Prof. Adiel Teixeira de Almeida, membro destacado da comunidade científica brasileira, durante
a 25ª edição da International Conference on Group Decision and Negotiation, promovida pela INFORMS GDN Section (de 15 a 18 de junho de 2025 em Zaragoza,
Spain). O Prof. Adiel, que já havia sido agraciado em 2017 com a mais alta distinção da área em reconhecimento à sua excelência como pesquisador em Decisão em
Grupo e Negociação, agora recebeu o INFORMS GDN Appreciation for Outstanding Service Award. A menção oficial concedida pela sociedade científica pode ser lida a
seguir:
“The 2025 INFORMS GDN Appreciation for Outstanding Service Award is conferred on Adiel Teixeira de Almeida in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the
INFORMS Group Decision and Negotiation (GDN) Section. He has been a member of the GDN Section since 1998 and served on the GDN Section Board for eight years. He
was also President of the Section (2021–2022), when he played a fundamental role in sustaining the engagement of the community, when faced with unexpected challenges,
including during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a dedicated and active member of the GDN community, he played an active part in organizing the 2012 GDN conference in
Recife, and also acted as its Program Chair. He has made significant contributions to GDN conferences as a stream chair, a keynote speaker, a co-editor of conference
proceedings and award committees. He has also been a Program co-Chair and a General co-Chair of numerous GDN Conferences. Since 2011, he has served on the
Editorial Board of the GDN journal and for over 10 years he has been Departmental Editor of Management Science area and has edited two special issues for the GDN
journal.”
