Meals

UFPE’s University Restaurant is located on Avenida dosReitores and is open from 11am to 2pm and from 5pm to 7pm Mondays to Fridays. The weekly menu, meal vouchers, among other information, are available at http://www.ufpe.br/restaurante/.

Each Academic Centre usually has its own restaurant or Cafeteria and there is a variety of restaurants located around the University. Customers have the option of paying a fixed price for the meal or opt to pay per kilo of food.

In addition to taxis stands in various locations in the city, there are also cooperatives, some of which work in a variety of payment terms. Some of those include:

Apps that request rides, which connect registered drivers with users through the cell phone, are also options for transport in the Metropolitan Region of Recife. Some applications include: Uber, 99 Taxis, Easy Taxi.

There are several large supermarkets around the city, such as Hiperbompreço, Carrefour, Pão de Açúcar, Comprebem and Extra, among others.

Generally, there are usually student republics, boarding houses and family houses that rent rooms within the vicinity of the University, whose prices vary according to the type of accommodation (collective or individual room, whether or not there are meals and internet included).
