PPGEP-UFPE receives Professor Pascale Zarate, from the Université Toulouse 1 Capitole

The Post-Graduate Program in Production Engineering (PPGEP) was visited by Professor Pascale Zaraté, Université Toulouse 1 Capitole, France. On December 7, 2018, at the Newton Maia Auditorium of the Center for Technologies and Geosciences, Professor Zaraté gave a lecture entitled “How to support group decision making?”.

In addition to the conference, Prof. Zaraté also participated in the PhD examination board of Carolina Lino Martins, the first “Co-Tutela” (Co-Tutorship) defense between PPGEP-UFPE and Université Toulouse 1 Capitole.

Pascale Zarate is a professor at Toulouse 1 Capitole University. She conducts her research in the IRIT laboratory (http://www.irit.fr) and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science / Decision Support from the LAMSADE laboratory at Paris Dauphine University, Paris (1991). Pascale Zaraté’s current research interests include: Decision Support Systems; distributed and asynchronous decision making processes; knowledge modelisation; cooperative knowledge based systems; cooperative decision making. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Decision Support System Technology (IGI Global), having published several studies and works that include editions of books and special editions of international journals, publications of articles in national and international journals, chapters of collective books and articles in international conferences. She belongs the Editorial Scientific Committee of three International Journals: Journal of Decision System (Lavoisier), ComSIS, Intelligent Decision Technologies (IOSPress).
