PPGEP DOCTORAL STUDENT RECEIVE BEST ARTICLE AWARD AT INTERNATIONAL EVENT IN CROATIA

Doctoral student Lucas Borges Leal da Silva received the “6th Jean-Pierre Brans Award” for the best article presented at the PROMETHEE Days Conference, which took place from 22 to 24 May in the city of Split, Croatia.

The Jean-Pierre Brans (JPB) PROMETHEE Award was introduced in 2014 to reward the work of researchers on the PROMETHEE methods. It is awarded to the author (and presenter) of the best presentation at the PROMETHEE Days workshop. The Jury takes into account the scientific quality of the work as well as the quality of the presentation.

The article entitled “The Web-based decision support system for portfolio selection in an electricity company using PROMETHEE with the C-optimal portfolio concept” presented a new decision support tool that is in the process of being registered in INPI (National Institute of Industrial Property) and is a result of the Pronex and INCT (National Institute of Science and Technology) project.
